Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Supervisor to join their Architecture, Engineering & Construction group in their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the filing of federal, state, and local tax returns specific to the AEC industry
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific tax regulations, including specific tax issues
• Manage tax audits, including preparing documents and liaising with tax authorities
• Prepare and review tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures
• Ensure accurate reporting of tax-related financial information and maintain tax records
• Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions
• Identify tax incentives and credits applicable to the AEC industry and advise on their utilization
• Stay up to date on tax legislation and its implications for the AEC industry
• Supervise and develop a team of tax professionals while providing training and support
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• 4+ years of tax experience
• Focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent leadership and managerial experience
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA preferred
• Skilled in Excel
