If you said yes to any of these questions, then the Prince William County Tax Administration call center is the place for you!About This Role:Highly motivated customer service representatives are needed to fill a Taxpayer Services Specialist position in our fast-paced Tax Administration call center. Candidates must be positive innovative team players, demonstrate a can-do, helpful attitude, and be able to work professionally with a diverse group of people. You will be part of a team that works with the public to update, open, and close a variety of tax accounts. You will process business-related returns and personal property declarations. You will assist by phone and email to answer tax questions, and to resolve taxpayer issues and concerns.What you will do:Answer call center phone calls and send emails.Update accounts, open, and close a variety of account types.Process business related returns.Identify customer problems and resolve based on County tax laws and proper documentation.Document conversations, update records and thoroughly research account information.Answer Taxpayers questions and update Personal Property, Real Estate, Business License and Business Tangible accounts based on VA Codes and Laws.Use software to include Tax Administration tax system, Microsoft Office, computerized phone system and other proprietary systems.MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or G.E.DPreferences:Excellent customer service skills2 years of data processing experienceCall center experience.Experience working in the public sector.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Bi-lingual English/SpanishExperience handling confidential information.Experience with tax questions, collection questions and business questions based on state and local laws and state and local regulations, codes, and ordinances.Work Schedule:Monday through Friday: There are two shifts: 8:00 to 4:30 and 8:30 to 5:00 that will be decided by your supervisor.
