TDR Cook - Graton Resort & Casino : Job Details

Position Summary:The Team Member Dining Room Cook is responsible for preparing meals following set recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to restaurant menu, and following all food health and safety procedures. Work may include operating a grill, oven and fryer.Essential Functions:1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.2. Set up, clean up and organize work stations.3. Prepare, weight, measure, and mix ingredients for shift; washing vegetables, chop and season meats.4. Ensure that kitchen area, ovens, food equipment, utensils, and grills are cleaned and ready for use for shift and next shift.5. Cook orders according to food and health safety standards.6. Handle and serve multiple food orders at one time.7. Deliver food order to Graton Team Member in a timely manner.8. Store all food properly per hierarchy and per policy.9. Sanitize and clean work stations and utensils.10. Assist other cooks in preparing food.11. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times.Required Qualifications:1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.2. Minimum one (1) year of culinary experience.3. Must be able to obtain a gaming license through the Graton Gaming Commission.4. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handlers Certification.5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.6. Ability to handle a flexible schedule and work weekends, holidays and all shifts.7. Must be at least 18 years of age.Physical Requirements:1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push 150-250 pounds on a pushcart, and enter walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees with or without assistance.2. Ability to stand for duration of shift, walk frequently, bend, and reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance.3. Requires hand/eye coordination, the normal sense of smell, taste, touch and sound.
