Teacher - Morris Area Child Care Center : Job Details

The Morris Area Childcare Center is a non-profit organization in Morris, MN. We are looking to hire a secondary teacher for our classrooms or a float staff. We are looking for someone who has a passion for children and learning that will help MACCC provide exceptional childcare experiences for the families that we serve.

Job Summary:

The Morris Area Childcare Center is committed to providing high quality early childhood learning experiences and care for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten. We are expanding and looking to hire two full-time teacher/aides. Teachers/aides are responsible for providing quality educational experiences for the children in their classroom in a loving and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to communicate with parents, have an understanding of the needs and developmental stages of young children, and be a positive role model for the children in care at MACCC.

Qualifications: Teachers must meet DHS Rule 3 Child Care Teacher requirements OR have the desire and ability to complete needed trainings to become teacher qualified.

*experience working with small children ages 5 and under is necessary

*One of the following is preferred, but not required: Child Development Associate credential, bachelor's degree in any field, teaching license from the Minnesota Department of Education with or without a kindergarten endorsement. We are willing to assist in cost of professional development to become teacher qualified.

* Teacher Aides must be 16 years old, and no diploma is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
