Teaching Assistant - Anatomy & Physiology - Center Education Group : Job Details

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONAs a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to instructors and students, assisting in delivering high-quality instruction, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning environment for students pursuing careers in various allied health fields.Essential Functions

• Arrive with enough time to be prepared to participate in instruction at the scheduled class time and to assist the faculty with setting up materials, technology, or logistics for each class session.
• Assist the faculty in ensuring classrooms are in good order to support learning prior to the start of each class session as well as at the end of the class session in line with institutional SOPs
• Support in-class instruction and learning at the direction of the faculty following institutional standard operating procedures.
• Provide instruction under the supervision of the faculty as needed.
• Monitor in-class participation requirements as needed or appropriate.
• Schedule weekly office hours to provide additional help for students who need extra assistance.
• Cooperate with the program director in ensuring student compliance with program polices and guidelines
• Cooperate with the faculty member to ensure student compliance with course policies and requirements.
• Lead tutoring sessions or exam reviews to reinforce course content for qualified areas.
• Monitor academic integrity and report suspected issues to the faculty member.
• May be assigned to proctor on-site exams.
• Maintain appropriate expertise and competencies through continuing professional development

Experience

• One year of related experience in the profession required.
• One (1) year of teaching experience preferred.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred. Note: Minimum education requirements may vary based on program accreditation and regulatory requirements.
