Responsibilities include helping students in the classroom, organizing instructional equipment, and contributing to a productive learning environment.This is a part-time position of no more than 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to students who qualify for Federal Work Study. - Support faculty by preparing, organizing, and setting up course materials, supplies, and equipment for face-to-face and distance education classes.
- Assist instructors with grading assignments and entering grades into Canvas.
- Identify and record common problem areas for the purpose of developing support services and reference materials.
- Meet regularly with supervisor and subject area faculty.
- Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Regulations.
- Follow and enforce all KCC policies and procedures.

QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE
- Must have basic knowledge of, or strong desire to learn about digital cameras, lenses, grip & electric, computer hardware and software as it relates to digital content creation.
- Must be familiar with social media content management interfaces such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to fulfill responsibilities and tasks consistently.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to clearly explain complex concepts to students.
- Must be able to remain patient while helping students with diverse learning needs and maintain a positive, encouraging demeanor.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work effectively with students from various backgrounds, cultures, and academic levels to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be a current student at Klamath Community College.
- Applicant must be in at least their third term at Klamath Community College and have completed at least 30 credits in the Digital Media Design AAS Technical Core courses (or be currently enrolled in courses that will bring their total to 30 credits), with a grade of B or higher.
- Must be in good academic standing with an overall GPA of at least 3.00.
- Prior experience using Canvas, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- This position has flexible hours but is not 100% remote; applicant must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on class times and instructor's office hours.
