*Position Details* Req ID: req18138 Position Title: Teaching Support Specialist Position Type: Staff Full-Time Position Number: AS6932 OSU Campus: Stillwater Department: Inst For Tchg and Lrng Excellence Location Address: 100 ITLE, Stillwater, OK 74078 Hiring Supervisor: Dr.Christine Ormsbee Vice Provost and Director Hiring Range: (Contingent upon available funding): 51,000.00 - 58,000.00, Salary Work Schedule: M-F 8-5 Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: This position provides instructional design support with focus on Generative AI Initiative and Micro-credential curriculum development on the Stillwater campus to facilitate the development and delivery of high-quality academic courses, specialized instructional programs and innovative learning models. Special Instructions to Applicants * *Education & Experience* Position Qualifications: *Required Qualifications:*Master's degree in instructional design, education, or related field and a minimum of two years of related experience. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of education learning theories, curricular design models, an understanding of the digital tools necessary for engaging students in and out of the classroom, effective teaching at the postsecondary level (including the use of student-centric pedagogies), and emerging educational technologies. The candidate should also have experience in developing and teaching online courses, which includes but is not limited to building online learning modules, creating digital assignments, and providing opportunities for students to engage in the content and with each other as online students in a virtual environment. Such technologies should be applicable to higher education settings for improving student learning. Knowledge of course management systems is also expected. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work within the Teaching and Learning Support team and across colleges and disciplines to support the adoption of effective online teaching behaviors and competencies. One year experience supporting faculty in instructional design and/or technology training and in online course delivery. Must be a self-starter and be able to manage time and multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, accomplish goals, meet deadlines and provide just-in-time (on demand) training to faculty instructors regarding teaching. Other duties as may be assigned.*Preferred Qualifications:*Ph.D. in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field. A minimum of four years of teaching experience and four years of instructional design in an academic environment are preferred.
