The ACT advantage is that interdisciplinary mental health clinicians are organized as an accountable mental health team that functions in a coordinated manner to provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, so that persons with serious mental illnesses can live successfully in the community. The Team Leader provides oversight for the team including day to day functioning, clinical supervision, and leads the team in providing high quality care for individuals with serious mental illness.This position splits their time between administrative duties and direct clinical work.Professionals at this level are highly experienced and well known in the community and have experience working with adults with serious mental illness.Specific project, program or office responsibilities may occur at this level.Training in supervision and management is encouraged.Compensation: between $58,000 and $73,376 per year (salary is based on total years of relevant experience)Work Schedule: 40 hours per weekClick to see benefits and company perksMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Five years' experience, at least three years working with adults with Serious Mental Illness
  • Current MH, SW or MFT License required, Certification if applicable
  • Fully/Independently licensed for three or more years preferred
  • Valid driver's license/ acceptable driving record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • *Provides team members with clinical and administrative supervision, training, and assistance with day-to-day problem solving.
  • *Works with Community Behavioral Health Director for hiring purposes to include posting openings, screening applicants, setting up interviews, checking references and working through the UltiPro and Cherwell systems for each applicant.
  • *Assists with the organization and monitoring of team assignments and client care based on client needs, documentation, and treatment plans.
  • *Takes the lead in working with other community facilities that may be providing temporary services to ACT clients to ensure continuity of care and smooth discharge back to the community and ACT Team services.
  • *While working with a caseload of the highest degree of difficulty, demonstrates advanced clinical skills in diagnosis, intervention, formulation, and implementation of treatment plan with the client's input. The Team Leader splits their time between administrative/clinical supervision and direct client care.
  • *Works with the referral team to provide education about the program, assess individuals for the program and manage program admissions.
  • Ensures data collection is completed in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Maintains client clinical record with treatment plan, client progress and discharge summary.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Leads family engagement and education efforts.
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Assist with implementing new programming.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
  • *Create, maintain, and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency's ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site or designated workspace.
