Job Title: Production Team Lead

Overview: Dynatect Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Production Team Lead to oversee and coordinate activities within our manufacturing team in New Berlin, WI. The Production Team Lead ensures adherence to safety standards, promotes quality enhancements, and achieves production objectives. This role is crucial in managing production schedules, interpreting specifications, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety and Quality:

  • Prioritize and promote safety improvements.
  • Lead daily Tier 1 meetings to direct the production team.
  • Communicate production goals and requirements effectively to team members.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders with Engineering support.

• Production Management:

  • Coordinate production schedules and estimate team member hour requirements.
  • Facilitate timely cycle counts and accurate scrap log adjustments.
  • Manage opening and closing of the shop as needed.
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to Maintenance.
  • Support improvement initiatives and utilize production management software.

• Team Coordination:

  • Coordinate activities with other Team Leads and departments.
  • Coach, develop, and train team members on technical and administrative tasks.
  • Document employee performance and conduct regular reviews.
  • Maintain employee records and communicate with HR as necessary.
  • Approve timesheets and PTO requests.
  • Enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
  • Issue verbal warnings for corrective actions.

• Additional Duties:

  • Participate in department work as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of related production work experience.
• Working knowledge of production operations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong accountability and relationship-building skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read a rule or tape measure.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver's license.

Location: New Berlin, WI

Salary: $28-$31/hr
