Job Summary

As a Team Lead at Potency, you will be expected to provide best-in-class service that consistently exceeds customer expectations. This position requires strong customer engagement skills with a thorough understanding of cannabis. The ideal candidate will provide expert cannabis recommendations and have a desire to learn and educate customers.

The position will be customer-facing in a retail setting and as such is focused on sales and customer service.

In addition to the core retail/customer-facing responsibilities, this person will also be trained to close the store at night. They should be comfortable operating as part of a team and also leading a team, with the end goal being the efficient operation of the dispensary in the evening hours.

Our current needs are for a full-time or part-time employee that has a flexible schedule, reliable transportation and is happy working nights and weekends. This person's schedule will vary between 24-40 hours per week depending upon the agreed-upon role and pay.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide customer service that builds long-term rapport within the community.
• Provide expert knowledge on all cannabis recommendations.
• Discuss product effects, potency, dosing, and methods of consumption with customers.
• Accurately receive, prepare, and complete orders and sales.
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate records including customer records in accordance with the Cannabis Control Commission of Massachusetts as well as any regulations set forth by local, state, or federal agencies.
• Assist with stocking and cleaning during downtime.
• Supervise retail associates, ensuring they adhere to all policies and best practices.
• Prepare nightly deposit, research any variances or discrepancies.

Other Requirements

• Ensure self and uniform clothing are clean and professional.
• Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
• Must pass stringent state background check requirements.
• Minimum of 21 years of age required by law.
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID card.
• Ability to reliably work both nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Education: High School or equivalent.

Work Experience:

• Retail Associate & Cashier: 1 year preferred.
• Customer Service: 1 year preferred.

Job Type: Full-time and Part-time.

Pay: $19.00-21.00 per hour.
