Team Lead Plastics Department - 2nd shift - Atmus Filtration Technologies : Job Details

* Lead department operations on respective shift. Key focus on working with teams to proactively meet customer requirements and to help the teams achieve continuous improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee Morale & Environment.

* Champion effective communication on the shift/department assigned. Provides direction and leadership to teams by focusing on Atmus business model, leadership & vision principles, clearly communicating the organizations vision and strategies, and helping teams translate those business strategies to their daily work.

* Serve as a first point of contact for employees, escalating issues to the Team Manager when necessary.

* Assign work for employees and manage people resources with production needs.

* First responder to bottlenecks and/or other production issues (including unplanned downtime, assignments, etc). The ability to see and respond to any abnormality (any violation of standard operations) in a timely manner.

* Assist setup and machine operators in daily routine maintenance (P.M.s) of their production equipment pursuant to the daily/weekly PM schedule.

* Assist other employees by coaching/teaching 5S principles through daily application of 5S audits throughout their production area.

* Promote overall employee satisfaction through effective communication.

* Maintain a safe and clean work area.

* Communicate effectively with all departments and levels of employees including Leadership, HR, HSE, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Materials personnel.

* Work the hours that are dictated by production needs.

* Perform other duties as assigned by Team Manager.

* Must be very adaptive to change and be an active change agent.

* Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

* Computer skills required: MS office, internet, etc

* GIEA, SOMS, PDM experience preferred
