Job Description :

To lead and coordinate all daily activities of the team. To ensure assigned tasks and procedures are completed to a satisfactory level based upon standards set by NMC. To lead by example in maintaining safety, efficiency, and production levels of the team. This position description is not meant to be all inclusive of any job function. They may change at any given time based on organizational needs.

  • Safety and Environment:
    • To ensure compliance with all NMC safety and environmental policies and programs, as well as legally mandated standards.
    • To improve safety and the working environment.
    • To ensure that proper documentation is completed as needed regarding all safety and environment issues.
    • To promote any improvement activities to reduce any risk in safety and environment.
  • Quality:
    • To ensure compliance with all NMC product and process drawing, standards, and specifications.
    • To ensure the customers are satisfied with our quality.
    • To provide full cooperation and support of Quality system audit by either our customers or the third party, including assisting with tasks as needed, or assigning resources as needed.
    • To resolve any issues that can arise regarding quality.
    • To promote any improvement activities to reduce any risk in quality defects by improving our process and its system.
  • Cost:
    • To conduct and lead Kaizen activities to reduce the cost.
    • To promote innovative ideas to improve the process.
  • Delivery on Time:
    • To ensure the customers are satisfied with our delivery on time by managing day-to-day production.
    • To promote any improvement activities for our customers to be satisfied with our delivery performance.
  • HR:
    • To communicate all personnel to be informed about company and departmental directions and policies.
    • To address any and all personnel issues that arise within the team.
    • To coordinate and delegate any or all job functions based upon shift needs.
    • To ensure all documentation is completed properly and forwarded to the correct individuals based upon company standards.
    • Report to the Manager or Supervisor any problems related to personnel, production, or safety.
    • Any other related duties assigned by manager or supervisor.
  • Other Duties:
    • Lead 5S effort for the shop.
    • Perform daily preventative maintenance of related equipment.
  • Training:

    Leadership: There are no minimal educational requirements for this position. Individuals are qualified based on achieving educational levels, transferable work experience, positive attitude to learn and to adhere with all job functional expectations and aptitude as demonstrated and depicted during the selection process.

    Decision Making:
    • Ability to make on-the-floor decisions related to personnel, safety, company policies, employee welfare.
    • To create cost reduction and Kaizen plans.
    • To reduce/eliminate money and time lost due to poor quality, productivity, absenteeism, wasted materials or time, or poor processes.
    • Daily and weekly monitoring of time sheets and discrepancies in personnel pay.
    • To assist the business plan for the department.
    Communication:
    • Maintain communication among the team as well as upper management.
    • Possess the ability to give clear verbal and written instruction.
    • Participate in all meetings required by management.
    • Communicate to the team employees the expectations of the company based upon quality, on-time delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction.
    Results of Action:

    Assume direct responsibility for actions without direct supervision. To achieve company and department's goals by scorecard.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Setter, Operators, Helpers.

    Equipment Used:

    Computer (Google, Microsoft Office, i5, ERP and Barcode System).

    Knowledge Skills:
    • Leadership.
    • Managerial decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution, and training skills.
    • Possess technical knowledge of product line, process, and machinery.
    • Product engineering – Basic knowledge.
    • Basic computer skills (Google, Microsoft Office, i5, ERP and Barcode System).
    Working Conditions:

    Part or all of position responsibilities will be performed on the plant floor. Free address, either office in the Front Office or Plant office.
