The Team Leader of Banking Transactions will oversee employee-level transactions of all client-funded accounts. Responsibilities include reviewing bank transactions, researching and recovering outages, account monitoring, and continual process improvement.

The candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of all functions within the Banking department as they relate to the payroll process, as well as an advanced understanding of banking operations. The role involves monitoring workflow, coordinating job duties, handling complex banking/payroll issues, assisting management with various projects, and ensuring positive and ethical banking relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist supervisor in report preparations
  • Test any new system enhancements relating to Treasury Operations
  • Manage multiple payment platforms
  • Format files per bank specifications
  • Manage escalated issues from team email inbox
  • Research and decision email alerts from various banks
  • Troubleshoot problem situations and work with other teams for process improvement
  • Gain intermediate to advanced knowledge of international transaction processing
  • Facilitate meetings with other departments for resolutions
  • Ensure policies and procedures are updated per ISO 9001 regulation
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed as written
  • Ensure NOCs are updated timely to avoid NACHA violations
  • Respond to calls and emails professionally providing resolutions or redirecting as needed
  • Assist management with hiring and training, and keep management updated on team performance
  • Analyze team metrics for staffing and development needs
  • Assess, manage, and redistribute job functions among team members
  • Conduct one-on-ones with each team member
  • Perform all team functions as described in Treasury Operations Specialist and Senior Treasury Operations Specialist job descriptions as needed
  • Consistent personal leadership growth

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or applicable experience equivalency

Experience:

  • 3+ years of Banking experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

Experience:

  • 5+ years of accounting or bank operations experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting
  • Intermediate knowledge of bank operations
  • Intermediate reconciliation techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of bank operations
  • Advanced knowledge of ACH Rules
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and tasks
