The right candidate will have experience operating and running a high-volume grill, an enthusiasm for curating LTOs for the grill, as well as the availability to work afternoons, evenings, and at least one shift on weekends.The Grill Cook is a Team Member who is responsible for performing a range of food preparation duties in the Grill Station, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service. This role involves preparing menu items according to recipes and guidelines, creating the Burger of the Day/Week LTO, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and equipment, and interacting positively with customers and coworkers. The specialist may also assist in training other employees as directed by the supervisor and will perform additional duties as needed.Initial schedule is 40 hours/week with the potential to become a regular full-time, benefitted employee after the successful completion of a 60-day evaluation period. Food Preparation & Knowledge:- Prepare, cook, and properly store food following the supervisor's direction and all food safety regulations.
- Ensure that all food safety protocols are strictly adhered to, including safe handling and storage practices.
Quality Assurance:- Maintain a clean and organized work area with a clean as you go approach.
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
Problem-Solving & Safety:- Adhere to guidelines for safe food handling, including taking and logging temperatures, using clean and sanitized tools, and practicing good hygiene.
- Properly store food by covering, labeling, dating, and placing it in the correct storage areas.
Customer Service:- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by anticipating needs and addressing any issues promptly.
- Contribute to a positive dining experience that encourages repeat business and favorable reviews.
Communication:- Address questions and concerns to your assigned supervisor in a timely and respectful manner.
- Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication with coworkers, both verbally and in writing.
Teamwork & Cooperation:- Foster effective relationships with coworkers and customers, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
- Collaborate on group assignments and assist coworkers as needed to ensure tasks are completed successfully.
Additional Responsibilities:
Versatility:- Assist in other work areas or cover different stations as needed, particularly during coworker absences.
- Participate in stocking and general cleaning tasks to support the overall upkeep of the kitchen and dining areas.
Customer Interaction:- Engage with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report and follow up on any customer concerns with supervisory staff to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
Supervision:
- Reports to the assigned supervisor and may provide direction to part-time staff as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.At least one year of experience in a high-volume burger jointExperience creating gourmet burgersFlexible/Open availabilityPreferred Qualifications:
Previous food service experience in a college or institutional setting.ServSafe certification.Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
