He also conducts technical monitoring of funded grants that support either basic science or clinical research. Dr. Burbidge contributes to the Program Management Team's strategic planning and implementation and supports the communications team as it disseminates relevant information to people who smoke.BiographyDr. Cole Burbidge is a physician by training that has focused his career on improving healthcare delivery and supporting consumer and medicinal products that serve unmet public health needs. As a proponent of patient-centered care, Dr. Burbidge has a wealth of experience seeing the gaps in idealized patient care and has a passion for meeting patients where they are, not where they are supposed to be. Much of his experience has been focused on data-driven solutions to bridging these gaps to improve health outcomes, particularly among recreational substance users and high-risk patients for whom conventional methods too often fail. He has worked as a consultant to organizations in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and risk-reduction advocacy, as well as held positions in industry overseeing teams in Scientific and Regulatory Affairs.Cole received his M.D. from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and an M.B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
