Position: Patient Care Technician Job Description: Provides basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. They are responsible for responding in a timely, professional and courteous manner to all customer inquiries. Their duties include taking vital signs, collecting specimens, performing catheterization and assisting patients with eating, personal hygiene and grooming. Administering medications This includes member and/or provider phone calls or correspondence regarding benefit, eligibility or customer issues. Follows internal processes and procedures to ensure all activities are performed in accordance with departmental and company policies and procedures. Qualifications: 1 year experience required Prior experience in the healthcare or managed care industry.
