Overview:
Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Technical Advisor for Meetings and Special Events that will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, comprehensive, and diversified expert support services to the Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) division, with a specific focus on supporting the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) mission. This position involves integrating operational business models into the overarching GHSD environment to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsible for overseeing high-profile events for the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) mission. Manage contracts, budgets, and stakeholder collaboration while providing technical oversight.
- Oversees the comprehensive planning and execution of high-profile events, meetings, and conferences in support of the PEPFAR mission.
- Ensures adherence to strategic objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints while integrating operational business models into event planning processes.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all contracts related to events, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services.
- Evaluates Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), negotiate contracts, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Develops and manages annual budgets for regional operations planning meetings, meticulously allocating resources to optimize efficiency and achieve program objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to maintain fiscal integrity.
- Acts as a liaison between the contracted personnel and key stakeholders, including the Ambassador-at-Large for global AIDS and Coordinator for Global Health Security & Diplomacy.
- Fosters collaboration and communication to meet programmatic objectives and ensures alignment with organizational goals.
- Provides technical oversight and support for audio-visual (AV), interpretation, and IT services required for events.
- Collaborates with vendors and contractors to ensure the successful execution of technical aspects, including equipment procurement, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Leads technical review panels, evaluate vendor proposals, and recommend contract awards to Contracting Officers.
- Monitors contractor performance, identify areas for enhancement, and facilitate interagency communications to achieve organizational goals.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic plans and operational initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and align with national security priorities.
- Provides strategic communications input and serve as a subject matter expert on public affairs and communications teams.

Qualifications:
Skills/Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Must be in good physical condition and can occasionally travel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in event planning, program management, and contract administration, with a focus on high-profile meetings and special events.
- Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and State Department acquisition policies.
- Expertise in audio-visual (AV), interpretation, and IT services required for event production.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, international organizations, and private sector partners.
Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (Tier 2) clearance required.
Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $129,000.00 to $145,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
