The ideal candidate will have outstanding internal and external customer service skills and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team on deadline-critical projects. You should be able to juggle multiple projects and demands simultaneously, prioritizing and delegating tasks as needed. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential, along with critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. The candidate should be able to recommend new procedures where appropriate while adhering to current policies, procedures, and best practices. RequirementsEvent Setup and Technical Operations
  • Ensure proper setup and functionality of stage, computer, audio, video, and lighting systems.
  • Troubleshoot all technical systems as needed in both the auditorium/performance area and the on-site retail store.
  • Work with contracted staging and lighting vendors to ensure proper lighting and stage setup.
Coordination and Event Logistics
  • Coordinate with venue staff to meet event requirements regarding space and equipment.
  • Oversee security to ensure a safe event.
  • Manage truck loading and unloading activities.
  • Procure meals for all staff.
Media Management and Auditing
  • Manage critique video capture, perform audits throughout the event, and confirm accurate backup.
  • Occasionally fill in for Announcer and Video Specialist positions as scheduled.
Technical Skills and Experience
  • Technical theater, broadcasting, or film/TV experience, specifically relating to lighting elements and equipment, sound, and media.
  • Experience mixing live audio, including analog mixing consoles and microphones.
  • Basic experience with computer networking and troubleshooting complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with video software and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and MS Office Suite.
Physical and Logistical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must hold a valid US driver's license and be willing/able to drive a rental vehicle in any US city scheduled.
  • Enjoyment of travel, including airports, Ubers, minivans, and road trips.
  • Willingness to share a hotel room during events with a fellow employee of the same sex.
Work Environment and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work long hours while maintaining a positive demeanor in a dynamic, exciting environment.
  • Background, drug, and alcohol screening required.
IMPORTANT POSITION EXPECTATIONSIndividuals will work from mid-January through May, with the possibility of extension for our National Finals through mid-July. Individuals must reside in reasonable proximity to a US international airport and have the flexibility to travel 8-12 weekends, departing as early as Thursday morning and returning home as late as Monday evening for all regional events. All incoming event staff will be required to attend an audition prior to being offered an agreement for the 2025 touring season. **Audition will be held January 3-8, 2025, in Eagle, Idaho. **Salary Description Range of $500-$950 per weekend
