Job Description :

We are looking for a talented Technical Designer to support our Activewear business. Our ideal candidate should be a team player with strong knowledge of the Activewear market, possesses excellent attention to detail and can be flexible in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and lead or support fit sessions, ensuring fit, sizing, construction and quality is consistency achieved in line with standards. Evaluate garments to determine compliance of specs.
  • Communicate with vendors for tech pack questions; Provide appropriate recommendations in collaboration with cross functional teams on matters pertaining to specs, construction. Serves as a problem-solving technical expert.
  • Manage and communicate product fit changes in timely manner to ensure workflow maintain and within related systems.
  • Track and manage samples to ensure seasonal deadlines are met.
  • Partner with Design to establish fit blocks. Maintain core fit library for brand in 2D or 3D, fit samples, Block libraries.
  • Support the creation of development from initial concept through pre-production samples.
  • Review graded nested patterns for final production approval in 2D or 3D, including physical samples where applicable by brand; Communicate with the Technical Design Manager when issues are found; responsible for correction of graded nested pattern and communication back to the vendors to ensure clear understanding of corrections needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment, which may/will require working in person, in-office for a portion of the week, based on the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in Technical Design or related field
  • Experience in garment construction, pattern making, fitting, and specs. Experience with performance apparel a major plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, 3D-software
  • Experience and/or strong desire to learn Gerber Pattern Design and 3D CLO Software

Annual salary range starting at $85,000.
