Job Title: Technical Engineer II Location: Buffalo, NY 14203 (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract Start Date: Jan. 2nd 2025 ***Note: These experienced resources deliver the day-to-day configuration management services to the organization with minimal direction, focusing work on prioritized tasks. Their specific responsibilities include: •Performing operational activities as defined by CM policies and procedures •Fulfilling CM service requests as assigned •Engaging with strategic projects to ensure CM can deliver required functionality within project time frames •Mentoring the organization on CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures •Overseeing the design, coding, and testing of reports as needed •Collecting and reporting on metrics as required •Identifying and reporting on noncompliance situations •Performing CM audits as directed •Identifying service improvement opportunities •Mentoring and helping direct configuration management specialists Description: OVERVIEW: Serves as technologist for an individual technology or set of technologies. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with Technology management, more experienced Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization.
  • Responsibilities may include infrastructure review, implementation, and design, creation of support and architectural documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing.
  • Regularly and independently interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings and conference calls with vendors, internal staff, and senior professionals.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators. Review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff.
  • Seek to expand knowledge and understanding of financial services trends, practices, and technologies on a continuous basis.
  • Follow and promote use of industry best practices, standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of specific systems and services supported by department. Work with senior technical staff to understand, manage, and support elements of the Bank service catalog. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client brand.
  • Maintain client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • College degree.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design and / or development for complex applications.
