Technical Landscape Architect / Project ManagerFletcher Studio seeks a seasoned Technical Landscape Architect and Project Manager to join our team, focusing on both production drawing development and construction administration. We leverage technology to work faster and smarter-people, ideas, and culture drive our process.About the role:The Technical Landscape Architect at Fletcher Studio will be pivotal in managing and guiding the production of detailed construction drawings and overseeing the implementation of these designs on-site. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure that all projects meet design standards and are executed efficiently.In the first three months you will:

• Lead the development of detailed construction drawings and technical documentation for landscape architecture projects.
• Ensure that all drawings are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with design specifications and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to refine and finalize production drawings, integrating feedback and making necessary revisions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address construction issues, ensure adherence to timelines, and maintain project budgets.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve construction challenges, and ensure compliance with design intent and technical specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve successful project delivery.
• Address any client and stakeholder concerns, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues.
• Review and approve final construction documentation and drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Over time you will:
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level staff, focusing on both production drawing development and construction management.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging professional development and excellence.
  • Develop and uphold quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of design execution and construction quality.
  • Identify and create training resources for staff to continually enhance technical knowledge within Fletcher Studio
  • Lead technical and sustainable innovation to support design excellenceQualifications
    • MLA, BLA, BSLA, MArch or BArch required
    • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license required.
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in landscape architecture with substantial experience in production drawing development and construction oversight.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage project teams and client relationships effectively.
    • Demonstrated expertise in creating detailed construction drawings and managing complex construction projects.
    • Strong and proactive problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail in both design documentation and on-site execution.
