Job Scope: Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the analytic, modeling, and simulation support function. Supports all design teams to ensure integrity of analytic models and approaches. Coordinates outside vendor communication and activity to ensure analytical tools are up to date and infrastructure in place to support modeling requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Be the champion and promote the use of analytics and simulation tools as a key component to new product designs and ongoing product enhancements.
- Work with channel partners to determine areas of weakness.
- Coordinate training in advanced analytical techniques.
- Support Multiple Engineering Teams
- Mentor engineers to increase their simulation experience and knowledge.
- Review FEA analysis and models to ensure integrity and validity.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques in support of key projects.
- Participate in Design Reviews as required.
- Serve as liaison between engineering teams and Ansys.
- Develop Best Practices for consistency and speed across common tasks
- Elastomer model development.
- Both 2D and 3D rubber modeling.
- Pressure vessel and fluid pressure distribution.
- Pressure loss via simulation.
- Coordinate with IT and vendors to maintain a high-performance computing strategy
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO VICTAULIC: - BSME, BME, BSCE or BS in Materials Science. MS in Engineering a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an analytical function.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work across multiple engineer groups.
- Must be an expert in high level analytical techniques with an emphasis on CFD and FEA.
- Fluent in Ansys. Familiarity with Abaqus a plus.
- Experience with pressure vessel design.
- Ability to apply analytical techniques to real world problems and provide solutions to support business objectives.
- Good communication skills and ability to present across all levels of the organization.
