Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Product Specialist for the Accuris product lines at Benchmark Scientific in Sayreville, NJ. The Technical Product Specialist will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support, troubleshooting, sales assistance, and communication with internal teams, distributor partners and end-user customers. Daily tasks will include resolving technical issues, assisting with product sales, and communicating product features to customers. This role will also be involved in business development, product development and improvement, and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Responding to technical inquiries for the product lines
• Providing rep product-sales trainings and end-user product demonstrations
• Creating marketing content/material, operations manuals and updating website content
• Field days and table-shows with distributor reps to detail and promote product lines
• Reviewing distributor websites to ensure products are listed and accurate
• In-house testing to ensure products will meet the needs of specific customer applications
• Work with product development teams to develop new and improve existing products and product accessories

Qualifications

• Experience using or supporting technical lab equipment
• An understanding of basic lab techniques such as liquid handling, absorbance spectroscopy, PCR, nucleic acid extraction/purification.
• Analytical Skills, Technical Support, and Troubleshooting abilities
• Strong Communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Business)
• Sales and/or marketing experience a plus
• Experience with product sales or support is a plus
