Technical Project Manager - Hudson River Trading : Job Details

We're seeking a high-impact Technical Project Manager to join our growing Project Management team at Hudson River Trading. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how our engineering teams execute, collaborate, and deliver innovative projects that drive our technology and business forward. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners, influencing the future of our trading systems and operations.In this role, you will leverage your technical background, organizational skills, and domain knowledge to drive projects from inception to production. Your responsibilities on projects will vary and may include establishing delivery goals, identifying project gaps, tracking progress, and coordinating across numerous teams. Your strong communication skills will be crucial to keeping stakeholders updated and engineering teams aligned.ResponsibilitiesPartner with engineering teams to establish appropriate project management support, identify deliverables, track progress, and provide status updatesEngage with key stakeholders to understand priorities and communicate project schedules, progress, and risksDrive project delivery by identifying dependencies early, coordinating feature and function rollouts, and addressing gaps in larger initiative plansManage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensure alignment across related teamsDevelop and maintain project plans using tools such as Jira Provide strategic problem-solving and process improvement suggestionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent industry experienceProven experience working with engineering teams and managing software development projectsAbility to understand and assess impact of proposed changes on systems, business processes, and trading lifecycleStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to grasp complex technical conceptsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate detailed problems to colleagues in various roles and functionsComfort navigating on a command line and experience in programming/scriptingUnderstanding of project management methodologies and toolsAnnual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
