Job Description :

Position: Project Manager

Location: onsite in San Antonio, TX 78215

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Duration: 6-8-month contract (permanent and/or extensions possible)

Pay: $36-42/hour (depending on experience)

Salary Conversion: $78,000-94,000/year (depending on experience)

Interview Process: phone interview with manager and final with team

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of IT project management experience
  • PMP certification, CAPM certification, or have completed 35 hours of training to be eligible to take PMP in 2025
  • Experience with PMBOK-Predictive Methodology (Waterfall) and knowledge of Agile concepts
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other project management software(s)

Plusses:

  • Experience with the financial industry
  • Experience in systems integration
  • Experience implementing a Learning Management System (LMS)

Day-to-Day:

Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Develop comprehensive project charters outlining objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Identify and document project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID logs).
  • Create detailed project schedules and plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Lead project teams through the implementation and integration phases, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust plans as necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including RAID logs, schedules, and plans.
  • Document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle and conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.

IG Consultants: While on contract, you will be an Insight Global employee working for a particular company/end client on W2.

  • Pay Day: You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week's hours next Friday.
  • Holidays/Time Off: While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are they hours you will be paid. We do not offer paid sick days, paid time off, or paid holidays, except as required by applicable law.
