The Technical Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service for both internal and external customers in a sales-related function.
Responsibilities
- Support Field Sales Representatives, customers, and distributors within defined territory.
- Create and share technical proposals and quotations.
- Facilitate the value-added solutions quotation process.
- Act as project management support for complex sales opportunities both with external partners (customers, distributors) and internal support organizations (Engineering, Product Management, Operations, etc.)
- Temporarily provide customer support in the event of a gap of coverage in the Field Sales organization.
- Assist customers directly with technical information, recommending substitutions, and addressing application questions.
- If needed, manage customer portal administration.
- Coordinate with Finance & Operations to ensure completion of customer documentation requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required
- Previous sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting
- Proven technical aptitude in electrical products
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to embrace change and be successful in a dynamic environment
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, industrial distribution, or related degree
