Are you an experienced Software Release Engineer with strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience in working with various development environments such as DEV, QA, UAT, PROD, etc.? Have recent experience working with Jira and Git/GitHub and working closely with software development teams promoting code from dev to test to uat to production?
We are looking for a Technical Software Release Analyst that will work closely with several software development teams in coordinating plans and working to troubleshoot any issues with promoting code into production and all of the steps in between. For this role, you should have good technical skills with technologies such as Git/GitHub, Jira, and managing the infrastructure around development. For example, if a new release is having an issue, you can determine what the issue is and either correct it yourself or get with those that can resolve this issue. Mind set is critical for this role. Someone that has come from a smaller or mid-sized company environment where they have to own an issue and drive things to resolution is the mind set we need. We have a complicated infrastructure with various environments for various clients and all are on different release schedules so organizational skills are key as well. In general, you must have solid MS Windows platform experience and experience with SQL Server, remoting into servers, an understanding of connectivity issues, firewalls, etc. Our teams are using a variety of development technologies from .Net to Java to Angular and others.
We have several software applications and teams that you will be working simultaneously so looking for an individual who is well organized, enjoys a fast paced environment. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well. Experience with Agile development processes and technologies as well as overall software operations would be a plus.
This would be a long term contract role with the opportunity for this to go contract to hire should you be interested. The role is hybrid and will require you to work from our offices in the Providence, RI area for a couple of days each week.
