Position Overview: A leading molecular diagnostics testing laboratory dedicated to providing accurate and timely diagnostic services is currently seeking a driven, motivated, and multi-faceted Technical Supervisor. This role will be located in the greater Atlanta, GA area. The Technical Supervisor will play a critical role overseeing the daily operations of a PCR-based testing laboratory. This position will be on a night shift schedule (12am-10:30am Monday-Thursday).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the molecular diagnostics laboratory.
  • Ensure all laboratory procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the training and development of laboratory staff.
  • Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
  • Stay current with advancements in molecular diagnostics and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
  • Prepare and review laboratory reports and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Biology, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field with >2+ years of experience or PhD degree with >1+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with QuantStudio 5 and/or 12 and OpenArray
  • Strong knowledge of high complexity diagnostic techniques
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ASCP) is preferred.
