International steel machine manufacturer is searching for technical support service technicians to work out of their headquarters in Bradley, IL. The headquarters is located just an hour outside of Chicago. This position assists the field service team. You will work out of the company's call center for field service. Your job is to help the field service team troubleshoot equipment remotely. This is done by sourcing internal documents and diagrams as well as sourcing solutions online. This is an office role. Your first few months will be heavy travel. You will shadow field service technicians during installs to see the equipment in action. This will help you better understand the issues that will eventually come across your desk. Once the training is complete, the travel will lessen to under 20%. The person in this role must be a strong communicator, able to read technical documents and like to research solutions.Base pay of $50k plus overtime and perks. Compensation goes up with experience.
