The Opportunity
This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the CRM Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.
What You'll Work On
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Working under general supervision, researches, writes, and editscustomer-facingdocumentation, procedures, and attendant manuals in support ofcommunications with healthcare professionalsand engineering functions related tomedical devicetechnology.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working within the confines of the Abbott Quality Assurance policy as well as domestic and international regulatory requirements, writes, edits, and formats a wide variety ofcommunications for healthcare professionals.
• Collaborates with developmentand qualityengineering, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical engineering personnel, among others, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Recommends overall organization and layout, mode of presentation, publication methods, and related matters.
• Develops publication concepts for the best communication of subject matter.
• Coordinateswith domestic and international personnel to write and edit customer-facing documentation which also addresses local requirements and product usage.
• Coordinates publicationwith commercial sales, field technical support,outside sources and vendors.
• Leads projects to implement new technology for use byCustomer Quality.
• Leads projects to improve departmental processes that require cooperation from other functional groups.
• Troubleshoots existing processes and technologies.
• Remains current on developments in and knowledge of the company's products,worldwidemarkets, policies, and objectives, including regulatory requirements and restrictions.
• Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management
• Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, andvendors
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical discipline, Communications, Marketing, English or equivalent. Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

The base pay for this position is $72,100.00– $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
