Position Summary

As a Crossbore Field Technician, you will support the operation of CCTV cameras and related equipment to enhance community safety by detecting and managing cross-bored wastewater lines. Your role involves using advanced technologies for data collection, ensuring site safety, and maintaining equipment to aid in effective inspections and operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Detect cross bored wastewater lines and collect field data through utilizing ESRI GPS software during inspections
• Establish and maintain a safe work zone by positioning traffic cones, signs, and other safety items.
• Preparing the CCTV Robot and related equipment under the direction of the Operator, including routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Securely dispatch the tractor unit into the pipe using a crane or hook, ensuring proper handling and positioning.
• Accurately mark locations on the job site with utility marking paint for identification and reference.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations
• Must be able and willing to walk 2 to 5 miles or more per day on various terrain and various weather conditions
• Must be willing to work with sewer and wastewater utility lines
• Lift 50+lbs. of equipment regularly throughout the day.
• Proficient using current technology such as a smartphone, tablet or, computer
