Job Description The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Technician Dispatcher position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure workplace environment through the operation of the ECC. The ECC Technician Dispatcher will monitor alarms, CCTV and control systems, while answering emergent and non-emergent calls for service with the expectation to provide the best most efficient customer support possible, keeping in mind critical thinking and emergency prioritization of needs in a dynamic environment. The ECC Technician Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating security and emergency responses and maintaining logs of calls for service. The ECC Technician Dispatcher's core role is to promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and hospital employees. In addition, the Technician Dispatcher will assist in developing and maintaining communications and dispatch systems to ensure compliance with organization and government regulations and policies. Ensures timely responsiveness and operational effectiveness by initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects for the ECC. Along with the Technician, responsible for programming and development in multiple systems. May assist in managing technology department operations. May assist in managing employees, including recruitment, hiring and onboarding, training, development and performance management. Collaborates with internal and external partners on dispatch technology services. Supports and demonstrates family-centered care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Schedule:
- Full time | 80 hours every 2 weeks | St. Cloud
- Day and Evening shifts | 8 and 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $21.85 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $21.85 - $32.76 per hour

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in related field, bachelor's degree preferred; or 2 years of experience in dispatch environment in lieu of education
- 2 years of experience in Dispatch Center operations, system programming and scripting.
- 2 years of experience in health care.
- 2 years knowledge of Telecommunications operations.
