Job DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to perform laboratory activities related to composites manufacturing, fabrication and testing of test specimens, development of products, and design and erection of laboratory equipment.This position is based in Brunswick, ME, with occasional in-state travel primarily to Orono and Portland. • Associate's degree in engineering technology or similar. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be eligible.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with faculty, post-doctoral fellows, lab technicians, management, students, and research sponsors.
• Organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred:

• Hands-on related manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Trained in use and safe work practices around hand tools, power tools, and large manufacturing equipment.
