What you'll be doing:
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, contributing to production quality and process optimization.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment and processes, ensuring effective and safe operations.
- Perform product evaluations, assist with prototype assemblies, and solve complex production issues.
- Collaborate with engineers to introduce new processes and improve existing ones.
- Create test plans, technical reports, and documentation to support ongoing improvements.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead or participate in Green Belt projects and conduct process audits.
- Assist in training employees on new products and procedures.
What you will need to be considered:
- Associate's degree or equivalent training and certifications.
- 3+ years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in the medical device industry.
- Proficient with software tools (Excel, Word, SAP) for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with test equipment such as multi-meters, high pot testers, and tensile testers.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (IEC 60601, QSR, ISO 13485).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and handle technical documentation.
- Experience with the scientific method and root cause analysis for troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in a team and effectively communicate technical information.
- Capability to work with intricate components.
- Ability to lift 35-55 lbs.
- Comfortable using adhesives, solvents, and microscopes for extended periods.
- Must be able to work overtime and adhere to attendance guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
- QSR training and experience in regulatory standards.
- Experience with reclamation and salvage of defective products.
