About the role:
The Plate Mounting Technician is responsible for accurately mounting plates on to printing cylinders or sleeves so that the colors, as designated by the individual work order, go into the correct register when they get to the presses.
To perform this job, you will obtain and read job work orders.
Collect cylinders for each job and strip sticky back, mount print plates on cylinders by color, make sure all cylinders are correctly mounted and locked in place by interpreting and following quality and safety instructions, comparing different items, coordinating activities. Solve problems and correct errors by detecting details, analyzing information, measuring, and making calculations, reading manuals and instructions, researching problems, using judgment. Discuss production schedule with Shift Supervisor. Troubleshoot problems to prevent press downtime.
