Technician Shop Supervisor - Freehold Cartage : Job Details

Requirements: 3 years' experience operating and repairing tractor (class 8), and trailer (air brakes). A minimum of 3 years of management or supervision is preferred. Must have completed a high school degree or equivalent. Experience with TMT/Transman a benefit Must have a valid driver's license and be able to move equipment when needed (CDL A preferred). Primary Job Duties and Expectations: Manage the day-to-day shop activity. Assures work schedules and workloads are assigned effectively to ensure uninterrupted service. Provides effective and accurate inventory management. Troubleshoot repairs and determine the most cost-effective way to accomplish repairs and preventative maintenance. Assists the operation's growth and success by developing logical, safe, and efficient solutions. Ability to work in all types of weather. Responsible for training, coaching, and supervising shop mechanics and parts support. Participate in the hiring and discipline process. Provides feedback and input about shop activity and objectives. Responsible for compliance with all safety-related requirements (including the use of required safety equipment).
