* Has a detailed working knowledge of department functions and is responsible for completing work assignments in the sterile process department.

* Job Requirements

* Education

* Required: Graduate from School of Surgical Technology OR High School diploma or equivalent AND Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

* Experience

* No prior experience required

* Skills

* Excellent Communication Skills

* Working knowledge of computers

* Ability to organize instrument sets

* Able to pass a written proficiency review.

* Organized and self-motivated with an attention to detail.

* Licensure/Certification/Registration

* Preferred: CRCST or CBSPD (Required if no Surgical Technology Degree)
