Responsibilities & Qualifications
- GPS layout and as-built of blast patterns, projects and other important mining features
- Drone flight planning, execution and processing
- Mine design compliance assistance
- Monitoring of prisms on property using a total station
- Survey analysis
- Stockpile measuring and reporting
- Water level monitoring
- Terrestrial LIDAR scanning and processing
Knowledge & Experience
- Technical training involving GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Understanding of coordinate geometry
- Strong work drive and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English fluently.
- Prior exposure to mine software or AutoCad is preferred.
- Knowledge of open pit mining is preferred.
- Prior experience in a copper operation strongly preferred.
Physical Demands of the Role
- This role is a physically demanding position. Generally 70% field environment and 30% office environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for long durations, including walking across uneven surfaces.
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
