Role Overview:

Optomi has partnered with a telecommunications company that provides internet, television, mobile, and home phone services. They are seeking a Technology Functional Consultant with a focus on Architecture & Product Strategy for Offer Management Tools. These tools will integration and management of a web-based tool, Ava (Altice Virtual Assistant), that aggregates multiple offer codes and manages key tools within our BSS/OSS stack. This role will help visualize the technology landscape, identify integration gaps, and assist with configuration and testing tasks. The consultant will play a pivotal role in defining and supporting the product strategy to create a cohesive user experience across multiple tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Integration:

  • Visualize and map the architecture of order, offer, and lead management tools to ensure a cohesive and integrated environment.
  • Identify potential integration gaps or challenges, particularly as new tools are added.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to understand interface variables and identify the best systems for backend changes.
  • Provide insights on the technology landscape, focusing on areas that may require attention or optimization (but without responsibility for writing technical documentation such as HLDs or AID).

Offer Tool Management:

  • Support the update and configuration of offers in the Ava tool, ensuring they are properly aggregated and displayed to end users.
  • Validate offers in Ava by running test cases and ensuring accurate bundling and display of offers.
  • Oversee the monthly offer releases, configuring and testing them for accuracy and proper functionality.

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Collaborate with the product team to develop the vision for integrating new technologies (e.g., Cresta, Ava, OneAgent) into a seamless user experience.
  • Contribute to the development of a two-phase technology strategy:
  • Short-term (6-12 months): Integrate different components into a unified user interface.
  • Long-term (12-24 months): Build a unified platform where all tools work off the same data set and share context.

Testing & Configuration:

  • Configure the web-based offer tool and support the testing process by validating pre-planned test cases.
  • Ensure proper tool behavior and user outcomes, including validation testing to confirm that offer bundles appear correctly for the end-user.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

Marketing & Offer Management Experience:

  • Significant experience in marketing offer management, particularly in go-to-market processes and offer management systems.

Database Skills:

  • Proficiency in working with databases, particularly with tools like MS Access, and understanding data configuration and structure as it relates to marketing offers.

Excel Expertise:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and building complex reports.

Technical Perspective Beyond Databases:

  • Familiarity with technologies beyond databases, including front-end systems and tools such as Ava and OneAgent.
  • Understanding of integration challenges and gaps in the broader technology landscape.

Testing & Configuration:

  • Ability to configure offers in a tool and execute test cases effectively.
  • Experience in validation testing to ensure correct presentation of offer bundles to the end user.

Experience Level:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a senior role, particularly in marketing offer management or related fields.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:

Vendor Management & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Comfortable with vendor communications to gather data, resolve issues, and collaborate on project deliverables.

Familiarity with Tools:

  • Experience with Sight Tracker and Workfront for project management and task tracking.

Product Strategy Knowledge:

  • Experience contributing to product strategy, including collaborating across teams to build integrated solutions.
