Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Technology Data Manager to manage the overall DriveCam and Mobile Eye System (Mobile Eye and Mobile Eye Shield Plus) program for the division. These on-board vehicle systems impact overall safety of the division and passenger safety. This position will ensure that the DriveCam and Mobile Eye systems and the supervisors and managers who view video clips generated from the systems work together to improve the overall driver safety and enhance the company's performance. Establishes procedures and guidelines which enable the company to get the most benefit out of the program and adhere to company and client objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all DriveCam and Mobile Eye Systems (hardware, software, data, etc.) functions are monitored.
  • Ensure they are fully trained in the functions and data sets provided by the DriveCam and Mobile Eye/Mobile Eye Shield plus system, including the reporting capabilities and system diagnostic data sets.
  • Responsible for the daily review and analysis of the DriveCam and Mobileye System's data, preparation of monthly reports regarding the number and type of alerts triggered and making recommendations to reduce the number of alerts triggered.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly updates to general manager, operations manager, safety manager, and training manager.
  • Maintain a constant line of communication with the Division's Operations and Safety Departments regarding accidents, unreported damage and serious events to include recommendations and requirements for coaching and retraining based upon observed behavior.
  • Communicate with the Division Operations, Safety and Training departments any issues, concerns, recommendations, comments regarding the use and review of the DriveCam and Mobile Eye systems.
  • Adhere to protocol in serious incident and accident reporting which may include forwarding of serious event clips.
  • Establish milestones that can be gauged and measure the effectiveness of the DriveCam and Mobile Eye System programs.
  • Coordinate between team and the Technology Manager on any technical issues such as (but not limited to) failure to receive images from a vehicle, failure of a report, new report requirement or request, etc. related to any on-board hardware.
  • Maintain protocol procedures in reporting serious incidents and accidents to upper level division management and regional safety personnel as required.
Qualifications:

Talent Requirements:

  • High school diploma and BS/BA degree preferred in management, Safety Management or Transportation.
  • Four (4) years' experience working is a public transportation environment.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity in public transportation overseeing an employee work group; preferably in a fixed route transit system.
  • Good writing and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to make sound, decisive decisions involving driver behavior from viewed video clips.
  • Must be able to make good judgment calls on removing drivers from service when the need arises.
  • Job encompasses communication with many high-level executives in the company. Need to be able to communicate needs and findings to them in a concise manner daily.

Starting salary range: $78,000 - $88,795
