Position Summary The position of Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and closure of technology projects ensuring they are aligned, resourced and planned in consistency with Firm strategy, commitments and goals. Duties and Accountabilities 1 General Responsibilities: Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Manages day-to-day aspects of strategy, project and scope Effectively apply our project methodology (AKA Project Pathway/5 Practical Steps ) and enforce White & Case Technology PMO standards Identify and manage exposure and risk on projects Ensure project artifacts are complete, current, and stored appropriately Develop and use reports to rate and report project status against departmental Technology business plan (Strategic Operating Objectives), resource hours and project expenses against budget on a weekly basis Hold regular program status meetings and report on program performance to teams and stakeholders Ensures all projects follow meeting standards effectively via tools such as agendas and meeting minutes Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized project presentations on a consistent basis Manage and communicate difficult/sensitive information appropriately Manage day-to-day client interaction as it relates to projects Set and manage stakeholder expectations with poise Effectively communicate relevant project information with appropriate urgency to sponsors and stakeholders Communicate effectively with business clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinate assignment of PMO and project team members with Resource Managers Manage day to day assignments of project team members throughout the project lifecycle Motivate and guide team members to work together in an efficient manner Mitigate team conflict and communication problems Effectively utilize each team member to his/her fullest potential Additional Responsibilities: Lead collaboration, teamwork and alignment: work together to build on our strengths in every location, in every discipline of technology, and at every opportunity Exhibit a 'can do' positive attitude; ensure that we are actively listening to our internal clients' requests and are reacting positively to how we can help Demonstrate passion and our enthusiasm for what we do; we must take the initiative in managing our careers and developing our personal and professional goals Understand practice and the business of law and how we can assist our internal clients in both areas Demonstrate respect for all you work with by providing timely responses to inquiries Make sure the customer is always satisfied Be focused on what we are spending and why; we must regard all IT related expenditures as our own Respect all colleagues when conducting meetings, keep team members and stakeholders up-to-date on operating and project initiatives Understand and monitor developments in the IT industry to make sure the Firm is ready and poised to take full advantage of new technologies which are relevant to our business Be our own toughest critics and always look for new, creative and better ways to help ourselves, the practice and all our colleagues improve Qualifications PMP (Project Management Professional) certification Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field 7 years of project management or IT Management Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes Possesses a thorough understanding of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies and techniques Ability to establish relationships with business and technology professionals Interested in creatively solving challenges within given constraints Business acumen and strong presentation skills Previous experience as a business analyst is a plus Possesses general understanding in various areas of technology such as application programming, database and system design Scheduling and budgeting experience preferred Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures Demonstrated awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements Proficient in Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel Experience with Office 365 and imanage10 rollouts is desirable Experience dealing with complexity, analyzing information, and implementing Experience working with international teams a plus Location and Reporting This is a hybrid role which can be based in our Tampa or New York office. This role reports to the Director, Technology Portfolio.
