ABOUT FPD First Presbyterian Day School (FPD) is a 3K-12th grade Christ centered, college preparatory independent school located in Macon, Georgia which exists to educate and equip children to change the world for God's glory. ABOUT THE ROLE Assist with the technology needs of First Presbyterian Day School and its students. Assist with student systems to manage student physical resources, data, and software packages/implementation. Student systems including 1:1 computers, iPads, cases, printing, networking, email, imaging, software, and accessories. Provide leadership and oversight for the student 1:1 computer systems, hardware, and software of First Presbyterian Day School. Maintain and enhance applications developed and/or purchased for FPD's students. Assist students when they encounter software or hardware problems using the school's network, software, and computers. Advise students in areas where the computers and software may benefit them in their studies. Support the implementation and management of online textbooks, passwords, and access. Maintain credentials and documentation for all online textbooks and applications in cooperation with the eText vendor. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of FPD owned computers though the manufacturer's warranty service program. Assist with the collection, cleanup, cataloging, storage, imaging, labelling and redistribution of computers as needed or scheduled. Assist in the development and implementation of computer/data recovery procedures in case of loss of data. Test backup and recovery operations periodically. Responsible for assisting with the installation of new software and hardware. Work with the Director of Technology to keep an up-to-date inventory on all technology related hardware (computers, iPads, viewboards, sound systems, APs, etc.). Manage the student Tech Assistants as assigned and work with High School Principal to select and approve qualified students for the TA elective role. Other technology duties as assigned by the Director of Technology. Requirements BA/BS degree in a technology area is preferred. Demonstrate problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. Demonstrate written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate organizational skills. Experience providing technical support for users in a business/professional setting. Knowledge and experience configuring computer systems. Ability to manage multiple active projects and work both individually and as part of a team.
