Job Summary:

This position is based in Syracuse, NY.

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of the campus telephone equipment, cabling and associated applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and three years of related experience to the Telecommunications industry or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus in depth knowledge of TIA/EIA 568 standards and excellent written and oral communications skills required.
  • Must have a strong background and knowledge of the standards and design of telecommunications infrastructure, pathways, telecommunications room spacing and layout, grounding, fire-stopping and cabling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and Visio or AutoCAD computer software, and possess project cost estimation and budgeting skills also desired.
