Telecomm Operator/Dispatch - Telecommunications - PRN - Haywood Regional Medical Center : Job Details

Directs all telephone inquiries to the appropriate area or person while maintaining strict confidentiality for all patient information.Makes all announcements, such as drills and/or disasters, paging of authorized personnel and relaying of messages.Monitors emergency alarms and notifies responsible parties when required.Operates a variety of communication equipment to include radio consoles, telephones and computer systems.Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum Work ExperienceOne year of experience in telecommunication systems and general office practices preferred.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
