Telecommunications Operator - Northwell Health : Job Details

Answers and routes calls received by the Hospital's main telephone number. Operates the PBX telephone console. Performs miscellaneous clerical duties. Job Responsibility - Answers and routes calls received by the main Hospital telephone number. - Provides patient room and visiting hours information assistance to callers. - Pages authorized personnel overhead and/or on paging system. - Monitors all emergency alarms and dispatches appropriate response teams. - Maintains appropriate logs and records. - Provides access to telephonic interpreter services for callers with limited English proficiency. Performs related duties, as required. - ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Ability to work additional shifts, as needed.
