(1) Describe any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates competence in the following: + + + + Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations + Radio frequency communications systems operation and maintenance + Electronic systems, components, and their design, maintenance, and operation + Oral and written communication, including the ability to communicate both verbally and visually, instructions to and descriptions from non-technical persons on technical subjects (2) Experience dealing with radio-frequency communications systems including, but not limited to, two or more of the following: digital or analog microwave systems, trunked and conventional two-way voice radio systems, data transmission systems, video systems. (3) Must have a thorough knowledge of safety practices as related to Radio Frequency (RF) systems and general electronic equipment. (4) Must possess a thorough knowledge of basic electronics, and basic knowledge of electrical wiring principals; the ability to read, understand, and draw complex electronic schematic diagrams. (5) Ability to work with hand tools as related to electronic and Radio Frequency (RF) equipment repair. (6) Ability to set up, read and work with complex test equipment including, but not limited to: oscilloscopes, service monitors, time domain reflectometers.
