ATA Services is looking for a full-time telephone operator for our client Hawaii's State Hospital in Kanehoe. Please review the details listed below:

Non-exempt Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $20.30

Location:

Hawaii State Hospital

Telecommunication Services Unit

45-710 Kea'ahala Road,

Kaneohe, HI 96744

Schedule: 40 hours a week.

Day: 7:00am – 15:00 (3:00pm)

Evening: 15:00 – 23:00 (11:00pm)

Over Night: 23:00 – 7:00am

Description of Duties

Provide communication services and operate a multiple-line telephone console to receive and place incoming and outgoing local, long-distance, and interisland telephone calls, provide information to callers, staff and visitors, monitor emergency signal and alarm systems.

General Job Duties

  • Maintains a long of daily activities, including long-distance calls, emergency communications, alarms, and codes.
  • Maintains and updates daily calendar, patient information log, staff contact information and visitor log.
  • Issues safety equipment to staff/personnel.
  • Renews employee ID cards and information.
  • Receives patients' valuables and logs information.
  • Responsible for after-hours duties not limited to mail handling and receiving patients' valuables and monies.
  • Maintains custody of select keys.

Minimum skills/abilities

Ability to use a multi-phone line console; write and communicate proficiently and legibly; perform clerical tasks; and is proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 pounds) packages, supplies and equipment or the ability to compensate satisfactorily.
