The Telephone Operator provides a welcoming and positive first impression of Miami Valley Hospital by processing incoming, outgoing, networked and interoffice calls regarding hospital services, patient information, and provides directory assistance and emergency notification information. The Telephone Operator processes pages via audio and radio equipment. Education: High school graduate. Licensure: None Certification: None. Experience: Previous telephone operator experience preferred or experiences dealing with a high volume of telephone calls. Skills/ Other: Must be computer literate with proven skills using Windows XP. Keyboarding proficiency required. Basic office equipment skills required. Must be able to wear a headset and be able to sit for long periods of time with limited mobility. Proven customer service skills and excellent problem solving skills required.
