Details Client NameMyMichigan Medical Center Alpena - AA Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionTherapy SpecialtyOT Job ID29654227 Job TitleTemp - OT - Home Health (Days) Alpena, MI Weekly Pay$2386.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 09AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date12/16/2024 End Date03/17/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Occupational Therapist Job Specialty: Home Health Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: At least one year of home care experience License: Michigan Licensure Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Active Driver's License - Auto-Insurance - Reliable vehicle - Clean DMV report - Experience in outpatient with acute care, orthopedics, neurology, and pediatrics Job Description: - Delegate responsibilities to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. - Focus activities on patient needs and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures. - Evaluate patient function using formal/informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions. - Develop a goal-specific treatment regimen based on assessment data and patient tolerance to execute the treatment plan as prescribed. - Submit a written treatment plan to be included in the plan of treatment authorized and coordinated with the physician. Update the plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status and co-sign verbal orders received by the occupational therapist assistant as necessary. - Devise a schedule of treatment, specifying frequency and duration, to be discussed with the patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff. - Educate patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding the pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions. - Participate in one weekend per month rotation. Note: All scheduling requests must be made prior to job submission. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.
