Our client, a beverage company, is seeking a temp to perm Events Manager to join their NY office.
Duration: starts asap and has the potential to go permanent if the right fit
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (with flexibility based on event needs)
*Weekends and nights as needed
**Travel will be required once permanent
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage event plans from conception to completion
- Coordinate logistics for events
- Arrange planning calls with necessary partners (catering team, event planning partner)
- Help procure additional partners and vendors as needed
- Create and manage event budgets
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to promote events and maximize attendance
- Supervise and mentor event staff and volunteers
- Develop and implement strategies to support sales initiatives, including pre- and post-event follow-ups
- Create briefs for marketing materials and promotional campaigns to drive event awareness
- Work with marketing team to cover events on social media
- Oversee event execution
- Act as the main point of contact for vendors, attendees, and stakeholders during events
- Prepare pre- and post-event reports
- Recommend improvements for future events
Qualifications:
- 4 years of event management experience within hospitality or luxury setting
- BS/BA degree required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Organized, efficient, and proactive with a customer service mindset
